Shaquille Nelson is a New York based actor.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Long Island, New York. He played the drums in a marching band in elementary school, winning gold in competition. He also sang chorus in middle school choir, and played high school football. His first experience on stage came in college in The Cherry Orchard, where he was bitten by the theatre bug.

Shaq received his M.F.A in acting from Brooklyn College, where he trained in acting, acting for the camera, voice, and speech. He acquired the Alexander Technique and continues to add tools of the trade to his evolving acting process. He graduated Cum Laude with a B.A in Performing Arts from the City College of New York, where he trained in acting, improv, stage combat, and musical theatre.

Recent credits include digital commercials for Sherwin Williams paint for HGTV. A national commercial for AccuWeather. Shaq works on set as a camera stand-in for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. His experience on the New York stage includes performances in several new plays in Off-Off Broadway productions. He is currently a teaching artist for middle and high schools throughout the boroughs of NYC. Along with acting, he is looking to explore voice over with his vocal booth as well as modeling opportunities.
